Trina Merry is one of the great exponents of the so-called “Invisible Art.” The American artist makes up her models according to the environment in which she will later place them. In his work, we can find people who blend perfectly into emblematic areas such as the Brooklyn Bridge, the Pyramids of Giza or Stonehenge.
We were able to enjoy Merry’s talent at the International Tourism Fair (FITUR) that was held in Madrid in January of this same year. The artist monopolized all the looks since in the stand of Melia Hotels recreated “The Meninas” of Velázquez with this technique of corporal painting.
The make-up artist Aneta Kostrzewa joined the photographer Marcin Kempski for the realization of a project that paid tribute to the work of great artists of modern and contemporary painting. In this way, Kostrzewa captured in the skins of the inspirational models of the arts by Basquiat, Picasso, Klein, Hoffman, and Miro.
The color strokes monopolize the protagonism in certain areas of the body of the models, while the rest remains in totally explicit nudity. A stunning result is achieved that gives this project a great personality.
After several years of forgetting, body painting is once again booming. The bodypainting allows to open the doors to the imagination without limits and create wonders like the ones we have just seen. What is your favorite?
